During the production of a rubber torsion axle, a four cornered shaft, turned at an angle of 90° to the axle, - the swinging arm - is being pressed together with the brake drum in the axle beam. Rubber strands (depending on the weight of the trailer) are furthermore pressed in all corners. Because of the torsion of the rubber strands, an independent suspension without stops is created. This completely maintenance-free axle is nowadays used for all standard vehicles.
